I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Arts District of DTLA… and even more time in these comfy basics. Boyfriend jeans have been my daily go-to these days with a rotation of a few neutral tops (depending on weather). This year I’ve really been loving light colors for winter. Something cool yet cozy about it, non?
Snapped these photos real quick after a lunch date at Zinc (580 Mateo St, Los Angeles). Guys, their Huevos Rancheros are to die for. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area. And bonus! Blue Bottle’s right across the street for that post-meal coffee we all know and love 🙂
Speaking of love, how was everyone’s Valentine’s/Galentine’s/Saturday? I spent Saturday morning on a beautiful 10mi hike through Big Santa Anita Canyon. Growing up in the Midwest (aka FLAT LANDS) I will never tire of exploring the canyons and mountains of California. We of LA are so gosh darn lucky to have so many incredible hiking trails and national parks within a couple hours’ drive, and being an LA transplant I definitely take advantage of it. If you’re planning a trip to LA anytime soon, make sure to take the time to check out some of the many gorgeous hiking trails in the surrounding area – you won’t regret it 🙂

I lived in kansas (so flat) when I was younger and then moved to san diego… I’ve now been in New York for high school and college and I must admit I miss the adventurous outdoors, the beach, warm weather, hiking, Palm trees, and In n Out. I am so jealous. Enjoy California!!
Oh yes, California is hard to beat! Though NYC is great for a number of other reasons! Enjoy it 🙂
