Dressing for the cooler months in LA usually means lots of cozy knits instead of the puffer coats and waterproof boots I’m used to. I bought this scarf the last time I was home and have worn it just about every day since. On drizzly days I wrap it around my head to keep my hair (somewhat) dry, and I love to burrow my nose in it when the temperature drops at night.
Soft, light, several layers of warm… it’s pretty much my equivalent of Linus’s blanket. Simple, everyday perfection.
Did anyone else watch the Golden Globes last night? Tina and Amy are basically my comedy heroes and everything I desire to be “when I grow up” so I will watch anything and everything they are in.
Regardless of who is hosting, I very rarely miss an awards show. My brother and I were raised in a home that LOVES movies. I remember watching The Sound of Music nearly every afternoon on repeat and the elation of being allowed to stay up late to watch the Oscars. I think the only two things we were allowed to stay up late for were Bulls games and awards shows like the Golden Globes and Oscars. To this day, I still love settling in with a warm blanket (or scarf) and a glass of sparkling cider to watch the presentation of awards. My heart still beats quickly before each winner is announced, and more than one acceptance speech always gets me emotional. Is there anything better than witnessing someone’s hard work realized and dreams come true? For me, to be living this life and pursuing this career is already a dream come true, so I can hardly imagine the excitement to be at such an event myself. One day soon 🙂
