FIGARO

Spent last week buying, wrapping, and delivering all of my holiday gifts for the year while still half in denial that it is, in fact, Christmas-time once again. Anyone else facing the end of 2014 with a heavy dose of “whaaaaaaat???” Every year just keeps getting shorter and shorter, I swear.

In any case, wanted to introduce to you my favorite little cafe on the east side! I’m actually a bit reluctant to give away all my favorite little spots, but because we’re all friends here and in the spirit of Christmas, share and share away I shall! (About 95% positive that last sentence was not even English, but seeing as we’re all friends here and in the spirit of Christmas…)

Snapped these photos at Figaro Bistro in Los Feliz a little while back. Figaro has been one of my go-to’s ever since I moved to LA and was introduced to their incredible happy hour (M-Th 4-7!) by a friend who lives nearby. The quaint decor, heavily-French-accented wait staff, and dreamy ambience make me feel as if I stumbled right out of LA into France. And after a long day of work, nothing is better than meeting up with a friend or holing up with a book over a demi-peche and cheese. If you’re not familiar with demi-peche, it’s basically a French beer with peach syrup. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. It is to die for, and you’re welcome.

  1. If you like sushi, Uchi is amazing. That’s coming from me and someone I know from LA. There is one in Austin and another in Houston. Two amazing cities if you like food.

    • No problem! Let me know how you like it. I live in Houston so here are two more tips for next time you visit. Go and check out McGovern Centennial Gardens. It recently opened up by Herman park. It has a spiral hill that is really fun to walk up. The second tip is the Waterwall by the Galleria. Both are pretty amazing for pictures. Enjoy!

Oh and you have a really nice blog. I come back from time to time and it always puts a smile on my face so thanks for that!
