Quick little post for you today because I’m feeling a little under the weather (sad face). I’m chalking it up to the weird bi-polar temperature situation in LA right about now – it was in the 40’s on Monday, and then I turned the A/C on in my car today so……

Life, too, has been an accurate reflection of the weather-slash-under-the-weather situation. These past few weeks have been crazy wonderful but also just plain crazy. Like many people, I’ve been unable to shake the heaviness of the bombings in Beirut, the terrorist attacks in Paris, the shootings and senseless killings that happen every day – in our own backyard and all around the world – to people who look like me, and to people who don’t. The violence, the racism, the hatred, the ignorance, the anger… this world needs love, and it needs it desperately. At the end of the day, I’m left feeling helpless – wanting to say something, DO something – but nothing feels adequate. For now, I grieve. For now, I love – in every way I know how. For now, I pray the simple prayer: “Come Lord Jesus” while also praying that we would act as the very answer to that prayer. For those who are grieving the loss of loved ones to senseless violence – whether covered by the media or not – we grieve with you.
